How to install the ARx App?

You can try the ARx App for free by downloading form the App store.

How to implement the ARx App as instructor in my institution?

To implement the ARx App in your compounding laboratory, you shall agree to our policy and terms. Please send us an email (support@amplifiedrx.com) with the following information:
  1- Name
  2- Title
  3- Class
  4- Academic Year to be implemented
  5- Institution
  6- Country
  7- Email
As we appreciate your feedback and as part of the user agreement, please mention in your mail that you are willing to give us a feedback at the end of the course. The feedback is simply two surveys taken by instructor and students for research purposes.

We will reply within 24 hours and provide you with necessary data to implement the ARx App.

How to get the QR codes?

We shall provide you with a soft copy of the QR codes upon your agreement to our policy and terms.

How to print the QR codes?

To print the QR codes you have two options:
Option 1: You could use our setup (DYMO 450 Pro Label Printer with certain QR codes labels, Recommended)
System Requirement: The LabelWriter printer requires a USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 connection and one of the following:

  • Windows® XP 32-
  • Windows Vista®
  • Windows® 7
  • Mac OS® v10.4 or later
  • To use the LabelWriter SE450 printer with a serial connection, an RS-232 serial port is required.
    Label Printing: The Label Writer printer is shipped with DYMO Label v.8 software to make designing and printing labels easy. You can also print labels directly from the desktop with QuickPrint, and from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with DYMO Label Add-ins that are installed when you install DYMO Label v.8 software.
    Option 2: You could print QR codes on normal papers in appropriate size relative to the containers. Cut the codes and affix them to the containers using tape.

How can I get the chemical list?

We shall provide you with a soft copy of the chemical list upon your agreement to our policy and terms.

How can I get the prescriptions and related procedures?

We shall provide you with a soft copy of Lab. Notes (including all formulations’ ingredients, prescription, procedures, and Labelling) upon your agreement to our policy and terms.

How do I get ready to implement the ARx App once I have received all necessary data?

To get ready for the ARx App implementation in your lab, you need to do the following:

  • Check the availability of all the chemical materials.
  • Print the QR codes.
  • Apply the QR code to the correct container.
  • Run a trial using the ARx App to check that all icons function properly.
  • Provide the Lab. with iPad(s) on which the App is preinstalled. In this way, students who are not iOS users can still use the App.
  • Students with iOS devices can install and use the App on their devices.

How do I educate the students about the ARx App?

You need to educate your student how to use the ARx App by explaining the following:

  • Scan: when you run ARx App for the first time, the camera is on and already in scanning mode. Scan mode is active and you can scan the QR code of any chemical entity. To scan another chemical entity, you need to hit the scan button.
  • Formulation icon: shows you all available formulations for the chemical material.
  • MSDS icon: shows the safety data of the chemical material.
  • Lab. Notes icon: shows the formulation’s prescription, ingredients and procedure.
  • Calculations icon: helps you figure out the accurate quantities of ingredients.
  • Instructional videos icon: watch how you can perform your experiment.
  • Chemical structure: shows you the chemical structure of the chemical material.
  • Rx Formulation icon: gives you graphical representation of the procedures.
  • Precautions icon: gives you some important precautions about the formulation.
  • Tips icon: gives you some (Do and Don’t) tips to conduct your experiment successfully.
  • References icon: you find good links to expand (increase) your knowledge about the formulation and ingredients.
  • Help icon: If you have a problem, press and send alert to the instructor.
  • Notes icon: you can take, save and export notes.
  • Setting icon: you can adjust the mode and notifications of the App.
  • General Instruction icon: shows the instructions needed to use the App.
  • Feedback (Survey) icon: opens the survey that you can take to give us your feedback about the App at the end of the course.

How can I give my feedback?

As instructor, you will give us your feedback by taking the survey designed for instructor. You can find the survey by tapping Feedback (survey) icon on the ARx App.

How should students take the survey?

As part of your agreement with us, students must take the students’ survey by the end of the course. Students can find the survey by tapping Feedback (survey) icon on the ARx App on their devices.
