Kamila Orzechowski, PharmD Candidate

Czesc! My name is Kamila Orzechowski and I am a first-year pharmacy student. As a first generation Polish American, I express my everlasting pride through involvement in Polish scouting, lecturing at church and participating in cultural events and holidays. Prior to my schooling at the school of Pharmacy, I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from the University of Saint Joseph. As a pharmacy student, I am Committee chair of NCPA and am simultaneously putting together an Augmented Reality application for our Compounding lab, with the help of a few of my fellow classmates.

Diana Huynh, PharmD Candidate

Hello, my name is Diana Huynh. I am a first-generation college student with ties in Vietnam. My love and passion for pharmacy is deeply rooted into my genes as my grandmother was a traditional “Chinese-medicine” herbalist prior to the Vietnam War. As a Pharmacy student, I am currently involved with SSHP as the treasurer and working on several other research projects such as the Augmented Reality application project. Other fun facts about myself is that I have a tendency to oversmile, I like to watch anime, I can type over 120 words per minute, my car is standard (I am a car fanatic), and I absolutely love food!

Nicole Stepak, PharmD Candidate

Hey there! My name is Nicole Stepak and I am a pharmacy student at the University of Saint Joseph, Class of 2021. My desire to have a career in pharmacy began when I was very young picking up prescriptions with my mom; I remember telling her that I wanted to be behind the counter in a white coat and I recall admiring the work I saw. I am a devoted, motivated student and a very enthusiastic pharmacist in the making!

Mohammed Kalam, PharmD Candidate

My name is Mohammed Kalam and I am currently a first year pharmacy student. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bridgeport in Health Science and am now pursuing my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Saint Joseph. I chose pharmacy as a career because of my interest in medicine and how they work in the body. It began when my brother was diagnosed with leukemia over 10 years ago. Thankfully he’s now completely healthy, however at the time, visiting him in the hospital and seeing firsthand what goes on with the treatment and management of cancer both terrified me and sparked my lasting curiosity and appreciation for medicine.
